SCIMOS CS-3

Scimos CS-3 Most of the zirconia in SCIMOS CS-3 is eutectic with alpha alumina crystals which are developed in lath form, and the spaces in between are filled up with glass phase of high refractoriness. This fine and dense microstructure makes the blocks extremely resistant to molten glass. Further, it has both very little tendency to generate stones and other defects in glass, and low seeding potential. SCIMOS CS-3 is therefore used most universally in glass melting furnaces.
